An example of a brickfilm.

A ''brickfilm'' is a film/sketch produced using Lego, or lego related products and are created using the art of stop motion animation, a technique in film to animate inanimate objects, and may contain visual effects and anything else that the director/animator would like to incorporate into the film. The term 'brickfilm"' was coined by Jason Rowoldt, founder of Brickfilms.com. []

Brickfilming is an underground art that has been used since the mid 80's and possibly even before then. Throughout the years thousands of brickfilms have been made and the creative act is now being regarded as an art with online communities being formed to honour the film technique.[]
