BRAWL (Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long) is an annual brickfilming competition held on Bricks In Motion that lasts for exactly 1 week, the first BRAWL was hosted by 'Munzapoppa' in 2008.

Each BRAWL contest typically consists of a theme (usually a single word of phrase that may be interpreted in anyway), mod elements (certain pieces or letters that must appear in every shot to prove a film was made during the contest's time frame), and an explanation of the how the judging process will work. A topic announcing the start date is usually posted aproximately a month before.

The first ever BRAWL competition was held from the 2nd to the 9th of August 2008 by Munzapoppa on the 'Refugee Camp' of Bricks In Motion. The theme of the contest was 'Negotiation' and the MOD elements were a yellow LEGO piece connected to a blue LEGO piece and the letter C. Submissions to the contest were by email with an under 5mb attachment in either Quicktime, DivX (.avi), Windows Media (.wmv), or RealVideo format.[1]

The competition was judged by Lord_of_The_LEGO (aka Nathan Wells), Night Owl, and Smeagol in the categories of animation, story, cinematography, sound and enjoyment each of 10. The results took an average of their scores for each entry. MindGame Studios was also supposed to be a judge but his ballot was received too late to be included by Munzapoppa.[2]

BRAWL 2009[]

The second annual BRAWL began August 23rd and ended August 30th 2009. The contest was once again hosted by Munzapoppa on Bricks In Motion. The theme of the contest was 'Thought' and the MOD elements were a blue LEGO piece connected to a red LEGO piece and the letter M.

The competition was judged by NXTManiac, NOS, Noodle, and Munzapoppa. The results unfortunately came out about 4 months after BRAWL 2009 ended, this caused a bit of upset in the community.

BRAWL 2010[]

BRAWL took a year off for 2010. There was a poll on Bricks In Motion to determine if the community wanted another BRAWL, or a new month-long contest very similar to BRAWL (now known as Septemberfest). The results were overwhelming, 78.87% of the community voted to have the new month-long contest, while only 21.13% voted to continue BRAWL. And thus, there was no BRAWL for 2010.

BRAWL 2011[]

BRAWL returned in 2011 for the third annual competition. It began August 8th and ended August 15th 2011. Goliathan took over as host of BRAWL, the contest also remained on Bricks In Motion. The theme was 'Hidden' and the MOD elements were a black LEGO piece connected to a green LEGO piece and the letter B.

The competition was judged by Squash, legostudiosplus, Jargon, Mr_Billo, Annoyingnoisesproductions, and Goliathan. While the results were completed in a timely manner, the results were questionable, causing some upset. Goliathan then drastically changed the results after already announcing the final scores. This caused even more controversy.

BRAWL 2012[]

The fourth annual BRAWL began August 19th and ended August 26th 2012. Goliathan continued to host the contest. The theme was 'Forbidden' and the MOD elements were a blue piece connected a black piece and the letter G.

The competition was judged by JustKidden, Chris W., Squash, and Goliathan.

BRAWL 2013[]

The fifth annual BRAWL began July 27th and ended August 4th 2013. Fun Sucker took over as host of the contest. The theme was 'Outlook' and the MOD elements were a grey LEGO piece connected to a red LEGO piece and the letter S.

The competition was judged by Squash, Hazzat, and JustKidden.

BRAWL 2014[]

The sixth annual BRAWL began July 20th and ended July 27th 2014. Fun Sucker continued to host the contest. The theme was 'Development' and the MOD elements were an orange LEGO piece connected to a red LEGO piece and the letter K.

The competition was judged by Squash, Hazzat, and Fun Sucker.
